A reputed leaker says Samsung will show off the Galaxy S25 Edge sometime in mid-May. It will be shown off via an online event.

Despite showing off the Galaxy S25 Edge earlier alongside the regular Galaxy S25 trio, Samsung still hasn't mentioned exactly when it plans to launch the wafer-thin flagship. Some rumours hinted at an April release date, while others stated it could go as far as June. Well-known insider Max Jambor (via Sammobile) now answers that question with pinpoint precision.

Max says the Galaxy S25 Edge will be shown off on May 13 via an online presentation. Given it is only one phone, a dedicated event doesn't make sense, but it isn't insignificant enough to be soft-launched via a press release like the Galaxy Tab S10 FE duo. Unfortunately, Max doesn't state exactly when you'll be able to get your hands on a shiny new Galaxy S25 Edge.

Specs-wise, it is essentially a Galaxy S25+ with one fewer camera sensor and a thin chassis. The phone is rumoured to cost a bit more, though. Exactly why someone would pick a thinner, more expensive Galaxy S25 Edge over the Plus is unclear, but the phone will definitely find some takers. It is, after all, the first of its kind, and its success will determine if Samsung will make more of them in the future.
