Samsung has not officially commented on the timing of the whereabouts of its next Galaxy Unpacked event yet. Nonethless, new reports from South Korean media suggest that the company has decided on not just when it will present a new swathe of devices but also where it will present them.
For context, the company is expected to deliver the Galaxy S25 Edge next month globally after reports of delays emerged. Apparently, it will then wait about two months before unveiling new flagship smartphones unlike in recent years. According to The JoonAng, Samsung intends to host its next Galaxy Unpacked event during the first week of July.
Unfortunately, it has not provided a specific date yet. Also, the definition of what constitutes the 'first week' in a month differs from country. Potentially, one could infer this to mean the week when July starts, which would see Samsung hosting its next Galaxy Unpacked event between July 1 and July 4. If this were the case, then it would see the company replacing the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 (curr. $660 - refurbished on Amazon) less than a year after their initial announcement.
Alternatively, The JoonAng could be referring to July 7-11 as the first week of the month that only includes July. Either way, the website reports that Samsung has settled on New York as the host city for this summer's Galaxy Unpacked event. Currently, the company is only anticipated to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 during this event. By contrast, the Galaxy Z Flip FE and Galaxy G Fold may not arrive until the autumn, possibly alongside the Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.
