Apple is widely reported to be working on its first foldable phone. This foldable could launch as early as next year, and a new leak has now revealed some key details well ahead of time.
As shared on Weibo by Digital Chat Station, Apple's inaugural foldable phone will feature a 7.74-inch inner display with a 2713x1920p resolution, and a 2088x1422p 5.49-inch outer screen. Both of those dimensions have been revealed in previous leaks and indicate the foldable will be quite different from its mainstream rivals, perhaps looking similar to a device like the Oppo Find N2.
Additionally, the leaker claims the Apple foldable phone will adopt an under-display camera as its selfie solution on the inner display, much like Samsung's foldables starting with the Galaxy Z Fold4. Under-display cameras typically perform worse than traditional applications, however, and it'll be interesting to see if Apple's implementation bridges that gap. Also like the Samsung foldables, the outer display is said to sport a punch-hole camera, possibly indicating the absence of Apple's Dynamic Island entirely.
