Motorola decided that Qualcomm's 'efficiency-class' Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset was enough for its Razr+ 2024 (which is discounted to $849.99 today (February 7, 2025), but only in its Midnight Blue colorway)/Razr 50 Ultra, even though Samsung managed to fit an actual 8 Gen 3 flagship SoC in its Galaxy Z Flip6.
The next-gen Razr stands to make up for that discrepancy, according to a new leak. It consists of a new Geekbench listing for a Motorola device with the 50 Ultra's 12GB of RAM, but with the new top-end 8 Elite platform and its top speed of 4.32GHz.
Oddly, the device has shown up as the "Razr Ultra 2025" rather than the Razr 60 Ultra as predicted earlier. The leak has given rise to speculation that the upcoming clamshell will be re-branded under this new name worldwide.
It should be noted that this new leak does not corroborate other suspected details such as the "Ultra 2025's" model number. It is also interesting that there is no mention of a vanilla "Razr 2025" thus far.
