Oppo has kept to its word of releasing its next foldable smartphone during the third week of February. To recap, executive Zhou Yibao revealed on February 5 that Oppo was planning a 'global synchronous release' for its next foldable starting the week of February 17.
On the basis of this wording, it seemed that Oppo and OnePlus intended to introduce successors to the Find N3 and OnePlus Open (curr. $1,299.99 on Amazon) simultaneously. Although this is not yet official, the Find N3 and OnePlus Open debut together on October 19, 2023. The likelihood is that this will apply to the Find N5 and OnePlus Open 2 as well, particularly given the 11:00 UTC start time of Oppo's February 20 launch event.
Oppo's official Weibo profile also now showcases the Find N5 in three finishes, which match render images that Evan Blass shared a few days ago. Meanwhile, fresh hands-on photos show Oppo's new Hasselblad camera set-up in greater detail. The device's large cover display is visible too, which shares its overall look with not just the OnePlus Open but also the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Please see our prior article for official hands-on photos that highlight the Find N5's crease-free foldable display and compact design.
