Jon Prosser has shown us our first glimpse of Apple's new iPhone Air. Formerly known as the iPhone 17 Air/iPhone 17 Slim, it is slated to be one of Apple's thinnest phones yet. But this clearly comes at the cost of some features and battery capacity.

Flamboyant Apple leaker Jon Prosser gave us a glimpse at the iPhone 17 Pro recently. While it keeps the traditional iPhone Pro aesthetic, its two-tone design sets it apart from its predecessors. Now, Prosser has shown us one of Apple's more intriguing products: the iPhone Air (formerly known as iPhone 17 Slim).

In the attached images, you can see an interesting design with a single camera module at the back and a Google Pixel-like camera bar. It will stick out quite a bit, making a case almost necessary for day-to-day use. Plus, its wafer-thin chassis might bring back unpleasant Bendgate memories; all the more reason for you to encase it. Initially, this is what the iPhone 17 Pro was supposed to look like, but apparently that will not be possible due to hardware conflicts.

Exactly why Apple decided to stick with just one camera sensor on the iPhone Air (rumoured 48 MP) remains to be seen. One could make an argument that the iPhone SE 4 skimped on that part to cut costs, but the iPhone Air is slated to cost a pretty penny. Initial rumours said it might be more expensive than the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Jon Prosser has something to say on this, too. He says the rumoured $1,300 pricing is impractical, and that the phone will likely cost much less. Either way, it will face stiff competition from the Galaxy S25 Edge, which is not only rumoured to be cheaper, but also comes with 100% more camera sensors. It is expected to arrive in August alongside Samsung's new foldables- a few weeks before Apple shows off iPhones.
