There has been much debate about the next iPhone's design. Initially, the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max were said to launch with a Google Pixel-esque camera housing. Later, a relatively unknown Weibo leaker debunked those claims. Infamous Apple leaker Jon Prosser agrees with the latter, and has even shown us what it could really look like.
Prosser, who claims to have seen the phone, says the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will keep its iconic triangular camera array. This is to prevent the camera sensors from interfering with the Dynamic Island hardware, and that also happens to be the reason why a straight camera alignment won't be possible on an iPhone.
We also get a good look at some renders based on the above concept. The earlier rumoured two-tone design is here to stay, and it encompasses the entire camera housing. This time, the camera bump will be a lot thicker and the iPhone 17 Pro/iPhone 17 Pro Max might not be able to sit flush on a flat surface without a thick case.
As always, the above information is a rumour and should be treated as such. Unlike Google and Samsung, Apple leaks are few and far between, with a high rate of error due to the company's iron-clad security. Still, we know a fair bit about the iPhone 17 Pro. Among other things, it is slated to come with a three 48 MP camera sensors at the back and an upgraded selfie camera.
