DJI is best known for its drones, whether that be the high-end Mavic 3 series or more budget options like the Neo (curr. $199 on Amazon). The company also dabbles in other product categories though, including action cameras such as the upcoming Osmo 360. On top of that, it offers a range of camera gimbals, which it has now expanded with the Osmo Mobile 7 and Osmo Mobile 7P.
The two accessories offer the same basic functionality, such as a built-in tripod and up to 10 hours of battery life. The pair also feature adjustable arms and a grip that expands to grip almost all modern smartphones. Both leverage DJI's editing and tutorials software, along with ActiveTrack 7.0 tracking technology.
The Osmo Mobile 7P is the only one of the two with a three-axis stabiliser though, which DJI complements with a new subject tracking module that attaches magnetically. The latter features a built-in light too, as well as a microphone receiver. While the Osmo Mobile 7 misses out on these features, it is said to be the lightest gimbal in its class at 300 g. The Osmo Mobile 7 and Osmo Mobile 7P are available to purchase from today for $89 and $149, respectively.
