Last month, a well-known action camera maker, GoPro, launched its latest Fluid AI Pro gimbal, an immediate rival to the Hohem iSteady V3 Ultra, Insta360 Flow Pro, and DJI OSMO Mobile 7P. Now, the company has officially started accepting pre-orders for the Fluid AI Pro gimbal via GoPro’s official website. As for price, the smartphone gimbal is priced at $229 and comes in a single black color option.
As far as availability is concerned, GoPro’s new AI tracking gimbal will hit retail stores in early November. However, the company hasn’t provided an exact date. If we compared the price of the latest gimbal with some of its direct rivals, the Fluid Pro AI is quite pricier than the Hohem iSteady V3 Ultra (curr. $169.99 at Amazon), Insta360 Flow Pro (curr. $129 at Amazon), and DJI OSMO Mobile 7P (curr. $149 at Amazon).
Unlike the Karma Grip, which debuted nine years ago, the Fluid AI Pro is not just compatible with most of the GoPro action cameras (Hero 13, 12, 11, and 10 Black) but also smartphones and some compact point-and-shoot cameras too, making it a welcome alternative for vloggers and content creators. The gimbal is rated to handle a maximum payload of up to 400 grams (0.88 lbs). This means it can support most of the premium flagship smartphones, the Vivo X200 Ultra (229 grams), the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (218 grams), and the new iPhone 17 Pro (233 grams).
GoPro has also incorporated AI tracking into the gimbal, and according to GoPro, it supports subject tracking. Like the Hohem iSteady V3 Ultra, it also ships with an integrated fill light and a small fixed built-in display for quick access to camera controls. While the company hasn’t revealed the battery capacity of the Fluid AI Pro, GoPro claims that it offers up to 18 hours of battery life on a single charge. Plus, it can also double as a power bank.
Moreover, there’s also support for the GoPro Fluid app, which is said to provide creative video and photo capture tools. Speaking of dimensions, GoPro hasn’t yet revealed the exact dimensions and weight of the gimbal. You can learn more about the Fluid AI Pro via GoPro’s official website.
