DJI has already scheduled one global launch event for this month. To recap, the company teased that fans should be 'in tune with every move' on November 5. As far as we can tell, DJI will use tomorrow's launch event to unveil the Osmo Mobile 8 worldwide after presenting the same smartphone gimbal a few weeks ago in China.
Despite being less than 24 hours away from its next event, DJI has decided to announce plans for a second event. As the teaser above and video below show, DJI will announce something new on November 18 at 12:00 UTC. For the time being, the company has hinted that the device focuses on photography or videography as per the tagline 'Square Up, Nail the Move'.
Additionally, the teaser video highlights what appears to be a variable aperture camera lens. Other than that, the company has left fans to speculate about what it could have in store for November 18. Nonetheless, recent leaks have already revealed details ahead of time.
Currently, the teaser above seems to relate to the Osmo Action 6, a successor to the Osmo Action 4 and Osmo Action 5 Pro (curr. $349 on Amazon) of sorts that is expected to launch for $329. To that end, DJI's website reflects that the Osmo Action 6 will be released in the US. Moreover, the Osmo Action 6 is tipped to leverage an f/2.0-f/4.0 variable aperture lens and a 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensor with 8K/30 FPS video recording capabilities. Presumably, more details about DJI's next action camera will leak before its official launch, too.
