Galaxy Z Flip FE: Samsung may hit a lower price point by using unpopular but cheaper Exynos 2400 chipset
Rumours about Samsung releasing a second Galaxy Z Flip are hotting up. While there are no concrete details just yet, @Jukanlosreve has outlined what could be a key aspect of the device on X (formerly Twitter). To recap, the device in question is alleged to be the Galaxy Z Flip FE.
As we discussed previously though, similar rumours emerged last year before the advent of the Galaxy Z Flip6 (curr. $659.99 - renewed on Amazon). To that end, reliable sources currently believe that Samsung is developing three foldables for 2025, of which only one will arrive with Galaxy Z Flip branding. Moreover, there are no suggestions that Samsung will refrain from replacing the Galaxy Z Flip6 with a direct successor.
Thus, it remains to be seen how the Galaxy Z Flip FE fits into that line-up. Potentially though, the device could land before true next-generation Galaxy Z devices, just as the Galaxy S24 FE did in September alongside the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.
Arguably, the information provided by @Jukanlosreve supports this view. Although @Jukanlosreve does not state as much, they believe that Samsung intends to deliver the Galaxy Z Flip FE with its Exynos 2400 chipset. Ultimately, we would not be surprised if Samsung gives another run out for the Exynos 2400e, which is exclusive to the Galaxy S24 FE as it stands.
