Samsung hints at earlier than expected Galaxy Unpacked event for Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra launches
Samsung has not officially commented on the whereabouts of its next flagship smartphones. However, if early indications are correct, then we may see the return of the Galaxy S series sooner than the introduction of this year's models.
Specifically, a Vietnamese retailer has been spotted sending out a survey that points to an early January release for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra. Machine translated and embedded below, the survey implies that Samsung may replace the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra (curr. $930 on Amazon) around January 5. By contrast, Samsung announced its current flagships on January 17 before releasing them a week later.
Ultimately, the date shown in the survey does not guarantee that Galaxy S25 series pre-orders will open on January 5, 2025. With that being said, there would be no reason for a retailer to send out discount vouchers for devices that have not been officially unveiled yet. Thus, it seems that Samsung may target a pre-CES 2025 premiere for the Galaxy S25 series, which may arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset worldwide.
