Just a few hours after a leak revealed Samsung’s official cases for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Android Headlines has shared images of the protective cases for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 prior to its official launch on July 9.
First up is the usual clear case, a transparent silicone case with cutouts for the fingerprint sensor in the lock button and for the secondary display. The case extends slightly beyond the phone's frame at one corner in order to protect the cameras from drop damage. On the back, there’s a ring that allows users to hold the phone more comfortably. Samsung also offers an identical case in green, orange, blue and black. This case is expected to retail for $39.99.
Samsung is also expected to sell a transparent silicone protective case that sports a magnetic ring instead of a foldable one. This allows owners to use their new foldable smartphone with MagSafe and Qi2 accessories. For instance, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 can be charged on a Qi2 charger, with the Qi charging coil perfectly aligned to ensure faster and more efficient wireless charging. The smartphone itself is not expected to have magnets, so magnetic accessories can only be used in conjunction with this specific type of case.
The popular Kindsuit Case is also expected to launch for the Galaxy Z Flip 7. It will be available in beige, brown and black color choices. This case is made of faux leather, which should give it a more premium feel compared to the silicone cases. However, the Kindsuit Case is also going to be relatively expensive at an MSRP of $99. This case also features a frame that extends slightly beyond the secondary display for better drop protection.
