According to a new report, Honor is gearing up to launch its second-generation Magic V Flip. While the company delivered its eponymous model in June 2024, the Magic V Flip2 is said to be arriving in August 2025. Based on recent leaks, Honor's next clamshell foldable will retain its predecessor's design for the most part. That is not to say that Honor is holding back from making upgrades in other areas, though.
For instance, the battery capacity is expected to grow from 4,800 mAh to 5,500 mAh in a move that would eclipse the Mix Flip 2 and the Razr 60 Ultra (curr. $1,299 on Amazon). Similarly, Digital Chat Station expects Honor to offer the Magic V Flip 2 with 66 W or 80 W wired charging capabilities.
The leaker also indicates that Honor has opted for a Snapdragon 8 series 'sub-flagship' chipset. Potentially, Digital Chat Station could be referring to something like the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset found in the Poco F7 and Nothing Phone (3). Exact details remain unknown for now, though.
Conversely, Digital Chat Station specifies that the Magic V Flip2 will combine a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED inner display with a 4-inch cover display that also utilises LTPO AMOLED panel technology. These displays should be joined by a 50 MP dual-camera setup too, the primary of which is a 1/1.5-inch sensor.
