The Xiaomi 15 Ultra popped up as 2 versions of the same "Satellite Digital Mobile Phone" in a previous leak; however, according to the reliable tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), there is a difference between them after all.
It seems that 1 (the 25010PN30C) will also be able to support satellite messaging via the Beidou network, whereas the other (25019PNF3C) will not. DCS's new report is based on a new registration Xiaomi has made with China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) concerning both devices.
Should it be proven accurate, it might also back up DCS's prediction that the 15 Ultra will debut in February 2025 in an effort to beat its most direct rivals the OPPO Find X8 Ultra and Vivo X200 Ultra onto the Chinese market.
Accordingly, the 15 Ultra might be presented as a top-end flagship that can make satellite calls over the Tiantong network, and with an additional top-flight SKU that can also send GSM-independent messages on top of that.
The impending 15-series flagship is currently thought to look like its 14 Ultra predecessor, but to pack even more elaborate Leica-branded rear cameras, a (literally) stronger display and an upgrade to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for the latest high-end Android smartphones - like the RedMagic 10 Pro that can be ordered on Amazon.
