The Xiaomi Smart Tower Fan 2 is rolling out worldwide and has recently arrived in the EU. The model was first spotted on the brand’s global website in September and was released in the UK late last year. Now, it is available to purchase in Germany, and product pages at the Xiaomi online store in other markets like France and Spain indicate that the smart fan will be released here at some point in the future.
The rotating Smart Tower Fan 2 has a ventilation range of 10 m (~33 ft) and is said to deliver a natural feeling breeze across a 150° angle. Users can choose from three modes, including Direct for fast cooling and Sleep for reduced noise. In Natural mode, the fan simulates four types of breeze: lakeside, campsite, orchard and terraced field.
The fan speed can be automatically adjusted based on the temperature detected by a compatible connected device; this could include the Mi Temperature and Humidity Monitor 3. Alternatively, you can manually adjust the speed with a stepless adjustment between 1 and 100. There are buttons on the top of the fan, and remote controls are available via the Xiaomi Home app. Plus, it is compatible with Google Home and Amazon Alexa.
This is a slimmer model, with the base measuring 290 mm (~11.4 inches) wide. Xiaomi indicates that this is an energy-efficient device, indicating that it would use 1kWh over a 90-day period when used for eight hours a day. You can buy the Xiaomi Smart Tower Fan 2 in the UK and Germany for £64.99 and €89.99, respectively. It is unclear when the product will launch in other countries like France and Spain.
