Zepp Health has announced an enhanced integration with Health Connect for its Amazfit smartwatch users. While users could already connect their watch to the app, it was not possible to sync all data with Health Connect. In a recent Reddit post, a representative for the company confirmed that this is now possible.
Amazfit smartwatch owners can set up the connection from the Zepp app by going to Profile > 3rd-party account linking > Health Connect. Here, you can choose to allow all or individually select permissions for metrics like Blood Pressure, Heart rate, Sleep, and Weight. These permissions can be adjusted later, and you have the option to delete app data at any time.
Zepp Health has confirmed that the data is processed securely in alignment with both its privacy policy and that of Health Connect. For the moment, the Zepp app only supports writing data to Health Connect, making it a one-way connection. It is unclear whether this could develop into a two-way connection at a later date. It is also worth noting that one user has flagged that heart rate data does not appear to be pulling through correctly. However, it is unclear whether this is a widespread issue. This new Health Connect integration should be available for all models, including the Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch (curr. $234.99 at Amazon).
