The upcoming Oppo Watch X2 appears to have gained a new certification in China. Three new models, which will follow the Watch X, are expected to launch in the near future: the standard Watch X2, the Watch X2 (46 mm) and the Watch X2 Pro.
A smartwatch with model number OWW242 has been spotted on the website of TENAA, the country’s telecommunications certification authority. This listing is thought to display one of the new Oppo Watch X2 wearables, includes a render image showing a round watch face with a matching bezel and strap color, and gold accents like the buttons and the clasp. The page confirms that this watch has a 345mAh battery, runs Android and supports an eSIM. Other recorded features include Bluetooth, GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, WLAN and NFC.
Also listed at TENAA is an Oppo model with the number OWW251. The render here shows a black watch with a thinner bezel and an extra bump on one side of the watch, which appears to house two buttons. This is a closer match to the wearable recently seen in a photo shared on Weibo by Oppo product manager Zhou Yibao, which has been named as an Oppo Watch X2 model. At the time, it was also revealed that at least one of these new smartwatches has the ability to detect high blood pressure.
The TENAA page reveals that this second model has many of the same features as the OWW242 model but is equipped with a larger 631 mAh battery. The Oppo Watch X2 wearables are expected to launch in February, when the full specifications of these watches will be revealed.
