The Garmin Approach S50, a GPS golf smartwatch, has been revealed. The new model launches alongside the more basic Approach S44 wearable. Both watches have a 1.2-inch AMOLED display with an always-on display option.
The Approach S50 has all of the features of the S44. It adds a heart rate sensor to this, allowing you to monitor your heart rate, sleep quality, and stress levels. There is a broader range of preloaded activities, such as strength training, cardio and yoga. Plus, users can access popular features like Morning Report, Body Battery and Fitness Age. Like the Approach S44, your watch can display smart notifications from a connected smartphone. On top of this, the wearable offers Garmin Pay for contactless payments from your wrist.
The Garmin Approach S50 smartwatch is now available for $399.99/£379.99/€449.99. That makes it around $100/£80/€100 more expensive than the Approach S44. Customers can choose between a black version with a slate aluminum bezel and ComfortFit nylon band, or a cream model with a gold aluminum bezel and ivory ComfortFit nylon strap. While the product is listed at third-party retailers like Amazon, it appears that the watch is only currently available to purchase with immediate shipping directly from Garmin.
