The Garmin Beta Version 13.18 update is now available for the Fenix 8 AMOLED, Fenix 8 Solar, Enduro 3 and Fenix E smartwatches. It arrives just over a week after the last beta update, version 13.14.
This is a larger release, with 23 changes listed in the release notes. These include the addition of a Character Pop-up when using the on-watch QWERTY keyboard. A new Proximity Alert option is now available for GPS activities. There is also support for font scaling on the Workout Structure card, and Segments have been added to the Training Menu. On top of this, the Pan/Zoom Bar on the Map can now be made more transparent.
Garmin says that it has updated the Recent Sleep Scores page and made improvements to RAM file saving. There are also bug fixes for accidental alarm dismissal, the inability to delete Custom Activity profiles and map app touch input problems. You can view the full change log below. The Garmin team notes that this is a phased rollout; the software has currently reached at least 25% of eligible smartwatch users over the air (OTA). It is unclear when a stable version of the 13.18 software update will become available to all users of the Fenix 8 (47mm AMOLED curr. $999.99 at Amazon) and related smartwatches.
