Garmin only pushed a new stable update to the Fenix 7 and Fenix 7 Pro (curr. $688.99 on Amazon) last month. For reference, System Software 19.41 did not make many changes to the Fenix 7 series and its peers. Instead, last month's update arrived to resolve a bug that could cause Connect IQ to crash.
Outstanding bugs still exist, fixes for which Garmin has been testing on its Beta Program throughout this month. This time, the company has issued Beta Version 20.13 that can be downloaded manually or using Garmin's over-the-air (OTA) service. Official improvements are thin on the ground, with a fix for an issue resulting in LiveTrack crashing the only change mentioned this time around.
Garmin has not offered any hints about when a new stable update will arrive yet. The fact that Beta Version 20.13 has landed with ECG and Dive features disabled suggests that it will not be the final beta build in this development cycle, though. As it stands, v20.xx builds bring the following changes from System Software 19.41:
- Added CIQ System 8: Supports the latest Connect IQ apps, watch faces, and data fields.
- Added connection type information for paired sensors.
- Fixed Potential LiveTrack Crash.
- Fixed adding glance folders via Android GCM.

- Fixed headphones not connecting on first attempt.
- Fixed possible crash in the smart notification widget.
- Fixed possible crash on structured workouts.
- Fixed devices not entering MTP mode when gaming sensors are enabled.
