The Fenix 7 and Fenix 7 Pro are eligible for a new stable update, as are counterparts like the Enduro 2 and Tactix 7. While the update does not add any new features, it should address an outstanding issue that could cause Garmin's Connect IQ service to crash.

The Fenix 7 and Fenix 7 Pro (curr. $649.99 on Amazon) are now Garmin's last-generation flagship smartwatches. Nonetheless, the company continues to roll out software updates at a steady pace. To recap, System Software 19.38 arrived at the start of December with half a dozen bug fixes to its name.

However, Garmin implicitly acknowledged the inclusion of a new bug by rolling out Beta Version 19.40 shortly afterwards. Now, the contents of that beta update have made their way to Garmin's stable software branch via System Software 19.41. As such, the update is said to fix a bug that could cause the Connect IQ app to crash.

Unfortunately, it remains unclear on what prior build this bug was introduced. Please note that it could take some time before your Enduro 2, Fenix 7, Fenix 7 Pro, Marq 2 or Tactix 7 notifies you that System Software 19.41 is available to download. With that being said, one can trigger its installation manually by heading to Settings, System, Software Update and then selecting 'Check for Updates'.
