The 75-inch Hisense Mini LED TV can now be yours for less than $600, as the TV has now recorded a substantial price drop. This discount has taken the Hisense U6 to its lowest price ever. As a result, the TV has now become an enticing budget-friendly option for folks who want a big Mini LED TV.

Alongside TCL, Hisense is known for making TVs that are solid value for money. For instance, the company’s cost-effective 2024 U6/U6N TV brings features like a Mini LED backlight, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and high SDR brightness at a starting price of under $600 for the 55-inch U6 variant.

However, thanks to Amazon’s deep price cuts, the Hisense U6 Mini LED is now even more accessible. For instance, the 75-inch Hisense U6N price has dropped to just $598 (linked at the end). Per camelcamelcamel, this discounted price is $219.21 lower than the average price of the Hisense 75U6N, constituting a record-low price for the TV.

In addition to the 75-inch variant, the 55-inch, 65-inch, and 85-inch Hisense U6N versions are also on sale at appreciable discounts.

When it comes to the hardware, the Hisense U6 shows many strengths and a few weaknesses. For starters, the TV boasts an average brightness of 400 nits and a peak of 500 nits. The brightness should be even higher in the HDR mode. The supported HDR standards include Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG.

The excellent SDR brightness should go hand in hand with the increased contrast ratio provided by the Mini LED backlighting and the TV's wide color gamut. Coupled with a sharp 4K resolution and the wide viewing angles of the ADS Pro panel, the Hisense U6 should deliver a pleasing picture quality for both movies and games.

Talking about games, the Hisense U6N features Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync to ensure tear-free gameplay. The TV also supports outputs like 4K@60 Hz, 1440p@120 Hz, 1080p@120 Hz, etc, from consoles. Moreover, if RTINGS’ review of the 65U6N is any indication, the 75-inch Hisense U6 should also boast short response times and low input lag.

Sadly, the Hisense U6 also has some glaring weaknesses since the TV is, after all, a budget-focused product. For gamers, the biggest omission is probably the lack of a 120 or 240 Hz refresh rate mode, as the display tops out at just 60 Hz. For the general audience who wants to use the TV for watching media, the Hisense 65-inch U6 has low HDR brightness as shown by RTINGS, which could also be true for the 75-inch version.

All in all, if you can live with the above-mentioned cons of the Hisense U6 Mini LED, the TV will make for a pretty solid purchase at the current going price.
