Deal | 2026 LG OLED TV drops to $600, in deal enhancing gaming and movies for all budgets

The days when OLED TVs were unaffordable even for generous budgets have passed. Boasting the same deep blacks as more expensive competition, the 48-inch LG B6 is now half price. The 2026 model appeals to movie buffs in smaller rooms and PC gamers looking for a monitor alternative.
As part of a pre-Black Friday promotion, Best Buy has discounted the display by 50% to $599.99. While the 48-inch variation is exclusive to the retailer, Samsung contenders have rarely offered the same value.
Inferior brightness?
Promoted as the most affordable LG OLED TV, the B6 doesn’t match the brightness of the mid-range C6. As a result, it’s not ideal for living rooms or bedrooms with large windows. Sporting a glossy coating, sunlight or lamps can cause glare. Nevertheless, the Rtings review found relatively few other shortcomings.

The WOLED panel stands apart from other technologies with a seemingly infinite contrast ratio. Viewers can appreciate subtle details during horror movie watching and gaming. At the same time, in brighter scenes, the vivid colors of Dolby Vision and HDR content excel.
Using the B6 as a monitor
The 48-inch B6 has become a target of PC users who aren’t content with compact 4K monitors. A 92 PPI pixel density and RGBW subpixel layout promote sharp text. WebOS 26 compatibility brings streaming apps like Netflix and Disney+ to desktops. Of course, these buyers will need a spacious surface to accommodate the still sizeable flat panel.
Although a maximum 120 Hz refresh rate is lower than many gaming monitors, it’s perfect for the Xbox Series X and PS5 consoles. Despite being a budget solution, the LG OLED TV on sale includes 4 high-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 ports. Low response time and available NVIDIA G-Sync keep visuals smooth in frantic shooters and action titles.
Besides the LG C6, the 48-inch Samsung S85H at Amazon is another option worth considering. However, the Samsung OLED TV has no meaningful performance advantages and lacks Dolby Vision support. As long as the Best Buy deal on the B6 lasts, the discounted $600 price is a unique opportunity to upgrade setups.
