Marshall has unveiled the Heston 60 soundbar and the Sub 200 subwoofer for home theaters. The soundbar arrives months after the company's first soundbar, the larger Heston 120. The company's call to fame is its guitar amps, which have been used by renowned guitarists including Jimi Hendrix.
The Heston 60 is a compact 5.1 soundbar with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support measuring 28.74 x 4.88 x 2.68 in. (730 x 124 x 68 mm), allowing it to fit into compact rooms in front of smaller TVs. It has a frequency range of 45 Hz to 20 kHz, with a peak power of 56 watts.
The soundbar has HDMI, 3.5 mm, and USB-C audio inputs, and two microphones for room calibration. It can stream audio over Wi-FI 6 from Apple Airplay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, and TIDAL Connect and can be used as a Bluetooth speaker with smartphones.
The Sub 200 subwoofer can be connected to the Heston 60 over a Bluetooth LE connection to reproduce bass frequencies between 30 and 150 Hz with 236 watts of peak power. Both speakers can be controlled using the smartphone app.
The Heston 60 soundbar has an MSRP of $699.99, and the Sub 200 subwoofer has an MSRP of $599.99. Both will be available in black or cream for purchase shortly from Heston.
