Samsung’s premium Q-series soundbar lineup has something for every budget. At the upper echelon, you have the flagship HW-Q990F and Q990D, offering a fully loaded home cinema setup with a premium price to match. For value shoppers, there’s the HW-Q600F in the lower mid-range category that promises bombastic, room-shaking sound with Dolby Atmos support in a pretty uncomplicated 3.1.2-channel setup. Thanks to Woot’s ongoing sale, you can snag this powerful soundbar for a whopping 57% off.
For a limited time, Woot is offering the Samsung HW-Q600F soundbar for just $298. That’s $402 off its $700 list price. It's a brand-new unit that comes with a 1-year vendor-backed warranty. For context, the Samsung US store has this model currently on sale for $550.
If you don’t have space to properly mount satellite speakers and want something simple that still delivers powerful, room-filling sound on a budget, you can't go wrong with the HW-Q600F. It offers a 3.1.2-channel configuration with nine drivers, including two dedicated up-firing speakers for Dolby Atmos and DTS content. While it doesn’t come with rear speakers for true surround sound, the wireless subwoofer adds plenty of low-end thump, giving movie nights and gaming sessions some extra oomph.
Rtings praised the Q600F for its clean midrange and strong bass performance, though they also noted it doesn’t sound as spacious and enveloping as pricier setups like the Q800C or Q990D, which is to be expected considering the price difference and the lack of satellite speakers.
As you would expect, the Q600F supports common formats like Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS. However, it downmixes DTS:X and DTS:HD MA to DTS because of its 3.1.2-channel setup. For more authentic surround sound, you can consider adding the Samsung SWA-920.S satellite kit later down the road. In terms of port selection, you get one HDMI In port (HDMI 2.0), one eARC port, one Optical Audio port, and one USB A port.
There’s no Wi-Fi support, so you do miss out on streaming smarts like Spotify Connect, AirPlay, and Chromecast, but you can still stream audio over Bluetooth. Sound enhancements like SpaceFit Sound Pro, which automatically adapts the sound to your room’s acoustics, and Q-Symphony are exclusive to select Samsung TVs.
