Late last year, Amazon announced the Fire TV Soundbar Plus as a more premium offering to the Fire TV Soundbar released in 2023. Now, just a couple of weeks from its first anniversary, the soundbar is available to buy for 40% off its launch price.
The Fire TV Soundbar Plus cost $249.99 at launch, but for a limited time, buyers can purchase it for just $149.99, a whopping $100 off its launch price. The soundbar has three full-range speakers, three tweeters, and two woofers. It also has support for Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and DTS TruVolume.
The Soundbar has four sound modes including movie, sports, and night, so users can switch to the best mode for the right content and time of the day. The Fire TV Soundbar Plus also has a dedicated center dialogue channel and a Dialogue Enhancer feature that ensures conversations are not only sharp and clear, but elevated above background sounds.
The Fire TV Soundbar Plus has an HDMI (eARC) port that connects to a TV, but there's also support for Bluetooth and optical audio. It also has a USB port for playing files directly from a USB drive. It is important to state that the Fire TV Soundbar Plus doesn't have any smart features, so you can't ask Alexa to carry out commands.
While the soundbar has its own built-in subwoofer, Amazon also offers a bundle that includes an external subwoofer and another one that includes an external subwoofer and surround sound speakers for a 5.1 theater experience.
These bundles have also been discounted — the bundle with the subwoofer is now available for $249.99 instead of $374.99, while the bundle that includes the subwoofer and surround sound speakers is down to $399.99 from $489.99. Unfortunately, the subwoofer and the surround sound speakers are not sold separately.
The Fire TV Soundbar Plus comes with a remote, an HDMI Cable, a power cable, two AAA batteries, and a wall mount kit in the box.
