Yesterday, October 13, 2025, Vivo launched the Vivo X300 in China as the successor to the compact Vivo X200 Pro Mini and the Vivo X300 Pro, and also gave a preview of the global launch. The two camera flagships with Zeiss optimization are expected to arrive in Europe as global models sooner than usual, so is it even worth considering importing the Chinese versions?
As always, it depends on individual preferences. One thing is certain: In Europe, like the Vivo X200 Pro, the Vivo X300 Pro will have a significantly smaller battery, as an initial hands-on video revealed on launch day. However, there are also limitations on the Chinese model: In addition to the lack of eSIM and WearOS support, these primarily concern the differences between the two OriginOS 6 versions, including the significantly more aggressive power-saving measures in the Chinese version and access to some Google features such as Quick Share. Network coverage shouldn't be an issue, as LTE band 20 is supported.
Vivo X300 Pro prices
Those looking to save some money are usually better off with the Chinese models. We compare the recently listed prices for direct imports from four retailers (Wondamobile, TradingShenzhen, Giztop and Trinity Electronics). We recommend our long-standing partner TradingShenzhen in particular, but we have no experience with the others.
At Trinity Electronics, a local shop in Hong Kong, prices are listed in HKD and displayed in the desired currency (via the currency symbol at the top right; be sure to click "confirm" at the bottom after selecting the desired currency in order to have it displayed) at the current exchange rate. Possible customs duties and taxes will vary on the buyer's location; interested buyers are advised to carry out their own research here. This applies in particular to US buyers in light of the Trump tariffs. Wondamobile is also another option. The former is expected to start shipping from October 17 and the latter from October 21, while shipping dates for the other two are not yet known.
All prices are listed in US dollars, are based on the black model(s) and are rounded off. All retailers offer the option of changing the currency.
