Honor has started teasing the release of a new smartphone on Chinese social media. In recent weeks, the smartphone news cycle has been somewhat dominated by the prospect of OnePlus, Oppo, Realme and Vivo bringing smartphones to market with huge battery capacities.
Of these, the Realme GT7 is said to contain the largest battery capacity at over 7,000 mAh compared for a 30% improvement over last year's Realme GT6 (curr. $496.99 on Amazon). However, it seems that the so-called Honor Power will go a step further when it debuts on April 15 in China.
According to Digital Chat Station, Honor's next smartphone will land with an 8,000 mAh battery that supports 80 W wired charging. Officially, Honor has not revealed any specifics about the 'Power' yet, although its name implies that it will feature a substantial battery capacity.
Instead, it has hinted that the Honor Power will be 'unimaginable' and 'unprecedented' thanks to its thin and light chassis. Based on the image below, it appears that the Honor Power features a quad-curved display, too. While it is unclear what chipset powers the device, Honor's teaser suggests that the Power at least contains a robust modem.
