Previous reports indicated Xiaomi was quickly preparing a new tablet to launch, perhaps even as soon as this month. It appears those plans may have been delayed a bit, with new information indicating that the tablet, expected to be the Xiaomi Pad 7 Max, may not be as imminent as initially rumored.
As revealed by leaker Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi plans to launch the Pad 7 Max nonetheless but fans will have to "wait a while longer" for its official debut. The Pad 7 Max has been certified in China and was reported to be scheduled to launch alongside the upcoming Xiaomi 15S Pro. It's unknown if the launch of the 15S Pro will also be pushed backward.
While the launch date of the Xiaomi Pad 7 Max may be in doubt, the tablet is expected to feature a 14-inch OLED screen, making it Xiaomi's first OLED tablet. Rumors have been unclear as to what chipset it will sport but nothing indicates a Snapdragon 8 Elite so far, and it's likely to be powered by a last-gen flagship SoC, or a sub-premium chipset.
