The Vivo S series consists of mid-range smartphones. The company launched the S20 and the S20 Pro last year in December. Vivo’s Product VP, Ouyang Weifeng, officially announced details of the new S30 lineup. Two smartphones will be introduced: the standard S30 and the S30 Pro Mini.
This is the first time Vivo is launching a “Pro Mini” model in the S series. Compact phones are gaining popularity in the flagship market with new phones like the OnePlus 13T and Oppo Find X8s. Now, Vivo will be launching a compact phone in the mid-range market with the S30 Pro Mini.
The S30 Pro Mini will feature a 6.3-inch flat display. One of the key highlights of the device will be its large battery capacity of 6,500mAh. For comparison, the flagship OnePlus 13T also features a 6.3-inch display but a smaller 6,260mAh battery.
On the other hand, the standard S30 will feature a larger flat display measuring 6.67 inches. It will also feature a 6,500mAh battery capacity. The company has not revealed other specifications yet.
A prominent tipster, Digital Chat Station, claimed that the Vivo S30 Pro Mini will feature the Sony IMX882 periscope lens, which is used on the flagship X200 Pro Mini. The S30 series is set to release later this month in China. Internationally, the phones may arrive later as rebranded V series phones.
