Oppo has just unleashed a new member in its K-series lineup, the Oppo K13. The brand’s new affordable 5G smartphone brings significant upgrades in terms of battery, design, and display over the last-generation model, the K12. However, there are some downgrades in the processor department. More specifically, the latest iteration, the Oppo K13, features a slightly inferior Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor (down from a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 of the K12) paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage with no room for storage expansion. This time around, there’s no 12 GB RAM variant available.
The battery capacity of the smartphone is now bigger than before. A large 7,000 mAh battery (up from 5,500 mAh of the K12) powers the internals and supports 80 W wired charging. It runs Android 15-based ColorOS 15 out of the box. Speaking of software support, the company promises two years of Android upgrades (Android 16 & 17) and three years of security patches for the K13.
Upfront, the Oppo K13 features a 6.67-inch OLED display that outputs at a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels with a peak brightness of 1200 nits and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The device retains the same rear camera setup as the predecessor, featuring a 50 MP primary camera complemented by a 2 MP depth sensor. There’s a 16 MP selfie camera for selfies and video chats. Other features include dual stereo speakers, AI-based camera features, and an IP65 water and dust resistance rating.
Available in icy purple and prism black colorways, the Oppo K13 starts at INR 17,999 ($210/€185) for the base 8 GB + 128 GB variant, and the 8 GB + 256 GB model is priced at INR 19,999 ($235/€205). It will be available in India via Oppo’s official online store and Flipkart, starting from April 2025.
