Realme currently touts its 14x 5G as the toughest smartphone for less than $200 mark in India, as it currently starts at INR 15,799 (~$185) on Amazon.
The Oppo A5 Pro is projected to descend on the same segment of the Indian smartphone market soon with the same Dimensity 6300 silicon as the 14x.
The 2 smartphones even have suspiciously similar 6.67-inch 120Hz HD LCD displays and 50MP main cameras, although the A5 Pro is the only one to have a second rear camera - even if it will be 2MP in resolution.
The 14x is still likely to have the edge in terms of battery life, at 6,000mAh compared to 5,800mAh in the international version of the A5 Pro. Despite that, the former manages to be the slimmer of the 2 somehow, at 7.8 millimeters (mm).
Nevertheless, both devices should be well matched, with similar flat-edged designs of a flagship-grade IP69 rating.
Oppo will pit its 360° Armor Body smartphone against the Diamond Design of the Realme 14x from April 24, 2025.
