An emerging Chinese rugged smartphone brand Fossibot has introduced two new rugged smartphones, the F112 Pro and the F107 Pro, at MWC 2025. First, let’s talk about the F112 Pro.
The Fossibot F112 Pro rugged smartphone is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 6300 processor paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, expandable via a microSD card. The mid-range rugged device is MIL-STD-810H certified, as well as IP68 and IP69K compliant. According to Fossibot, the product can withstand drops from as high as 1.5 m (~4.9 ft) and is guaranteed to survive for around 30 minutes if submerged 1.5 m (~4.9 ft).
The 5G-enabled smartphone has a 6.88-inch HD+ display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 480 nits. For photography, it features a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50 MP primary camera and a 5 MP macro sensor. Up front, there’s a 16 MP shooter for capturing selfies and for video chats. The smartphone runs on Android 14 out of the box; there’s no word on software support from the brand, indicating software updates may never arrive.
Last but not least, the F112 Pro houses a large 7,150 mAh battery with support for 18 W wired charging. Other features include a "liquid silicon gel" finish back, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a custom action button and NFC support. The smartphone measures 181.8 x 83.5 x 13.3 mm (7.16 x 3.28 x 0.52 inches) and weighs a whopping 660 grams (1.45 lbs).
Alongside the F112 Pro, Fossibot has also showcased its upcoming F107 Pro rugged flagship smartphone. The smartphone is set to feature a massive 28,000 mAh battery, a night vision camera, and a flashlight/torch. The rest of the details of the smartphone are still under wraps. What we know is that the F107 Pro should hit store shelves in May 2025.
Available in five color options, including blue, black, green, orange, and rose red, the Fossibot F112 Pro should eventually become available for $399.99. As a part of the launch offer, the company intends to initially offer the smartphone for just $159.99 via Fossibot.com.
