Rugged smartphone fans have one more reason to enjoy this weekend thanks to Chinese OEM Fossibot, a company that is still offering the new F112 Pro handset for just $159.99. However, this MIL-STD-810H-certified piece of Android 14-loaded, MediaTek Dimensity 6300-powered hardware will go all the way up to $399.99 on Monday. Until then, there are two full days left for those looking for a smartphone designed to go through tough situations to pick this one out.
In addition to being compliant with the military specification mentioned above, the Fossibot F112 Pro is also IP68 and IP69K-rated for protection from dust and water ingress. The highlights of these certifications allow the device in question to handle drops up to 1.5 meters (almost 5 feet) and to spend up to 30 minutes in water with the same depth.
The list of technical specs also includes a 50 MP primary camera, a 5 MP macro shooter, a 6.88-inch HD+ 120 Hz display with 480 nits peak brightness, as well as a generous 7,150 mAh battery. Weight could be a problem for some users, since 660 grams (1.45 lbs) is more than 3 times as heavy as the average smartphone currently available on the market. NFC and 5G support are both in the specs sheet, so the Fossibot F115 Pro can be used as the main phone as well.
The Fossibot F112 Pro can be acquired for $159.99 until the 19th of May kicks in, via AliExpress or directly from the official website.
