iQOO Watch 5 smartwatch with AI features launching soon

The iQOO Watch 5 smartwatch is launching soon in China. This new model from the Vivo subsidiary will be released later in May with various upgrades over the brand’s older wearables.

In a recent post on Weibo, iQOO revealed that it will be the first smartwatch to be powered by BlueOS 2.5. The company indicates that it would have Blue Heart Xiao V x DeepSeek, a raise-to-wake AI assistant, which can be used to control the watch or answer your questions. Plus, it can act as an AI phone assistant, recording your calls and providing summary notes. Other features include intelligent reminders linked to your travel plans, medication or work schedule. It is also expected to run for up to 22 days in Bluetooth mode or 14 days when using an eSIM.

The accompanying images show the design of the iQOO Watch 5. However, this had already been unveiled at the King Pro League 2025 Spring Finals, a competition for the online game Honor of Kings. At the event, the watch's e-sports mode was demonstrated, monitoring the players' health metrics like heart rate and calorie burn. It can also be used for data sharing or a game countdown. The watch has a round face with a rotating crown and a side button, and images show variants with fluoroelastomer and woven fabric strap options.

Further details about the iQOO Watch 5 smartwatch have yet to be revealed. It is expected to be released in China on May 20th. It is unclear whether this model could be officially lanched in other markets such as North America or Europe.
