The Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro has made its official debut at the Berlin launch event. It's an upgraded version of the non-Pro version of the smartwatch, and the company is positioning it as an affordable competitor to the Apple Watch Ultra 2. To be specific, it has a launch price of €279 in the EU, and in comparison, Apple's top-end wearable starts at €899.
Of course, Huawei's Watch Fit 4 Pro isn't a direct competitor to the Apple Watch Ultra 2, as it misses out on many of the premium aspects, such as broader third-party app support. However, Huawei highlights the seemingly better build quality of its new wearable.
To be specific, the new affordable smartwatch comes with a titanium alloy bezel and a sapphire glass screen. It sports a lighter body as well, weighing 30.4 grams. The front also features a 1.82-inch AMOLED display with a 3,000 nits brightness rating. Huawei notes that this panel has a pixel density of 347 ppi, which is higher than the 326 ppi display of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 (49 mm GPS + Cellular curr. $729.99 on Amazon).
Huawei also claims that the Watch Fit 4 Pro can offer better battery life than Apple's top-end smartwatch. More specifically, the company claims that the new wearable can deliver up to 7 days of battery life in the normal mode, and with battery saver mode, the runtime can be up to 10 days. The Apple Watch Ultra 2, on the other hand, is rated for up to 72 hours in the low power mode.
Besides that, the Watch Fit 4 Pro has Huawei TruSense, which can monitor vital health metrics like heart rate, oxygen levels, and ECG. It's packed with fitness features as well, including a Golf Mode that offers access to over 15,000 course maps.
Other highlights include a 5 ATM water resistance rating, sleep health tracking, and compatibility with Android, iOS, and EMUI. The Watch Fit 4 Pro is available in the official store in three color options.
