The Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro features a high-quality case made of titanium alloy, scratch-resistant sapphire display glass and a slim design with a thickness of under 0.4 inches. Right away, the used materials are reminiscent of the Apple Watch Ultra 2, but the Fit 4 Pro is more compact and notably lighter. It’s available in black, blue (with fluoroelastomer band) and green (with nylon band). The watch is water-resistant up to 5 ATM, weighs 1.23 oz and is compatible with Android as well as iOS.
The Watch Fit 4 Pro can be purchased directly from Huawei’s official online store. The smartwatch is currently priced at €279, and German customers can take advantage of the coupon code ANBCFIT4PRO79 in order to get a second band and the Huawei FreeArc Open Ear headphones for free. These gifts would usually cost €119 in total.
The Watch Fit 4 Pro further supports freediving down to 40 meters, and unlike the Apple Watch Ultra 2, it already has the corresponding software preinstalled, so there’s no need to pay or look for a third-party app.
In terms of health features, the watch can measure heart rate, stress, blood oxygen and skin temperature. The Huawei wearable also has an ECG and sleep tracking feature. Fitness enthusiasts can also look forward to over 100 workouts, including a golf mode. Thanks to dual-band GNSS, we also found the location tracking to be quite accurate, but navigation does require a smartphone.
The 1.82-inch AMOLED display can hit up to 3,020 nits of brightness, putting it on par with the Apple Watch. System performance is smooth, but Huawei provides no details about the exact chipset. Meanwhile, the battery lasts around seven days with active tracking features and charges wirelessly in about an hour. The Fit 4 Pro is clearly better than the Watch Ultra 2, as Apple’s smartwatch only lasts around 36 hours when all features are being used.
Additionally, the price difference between the two smartwatches should be noted as well. That said, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 arguably has the better eco system and offers some features that aren’t found on the Fit 4 Pro. Depending on what users expect from their new smartwatch, the Huawei offering is the more affordable and can therefore be the more suitable choice.
