The Garmin Fenix 8, Fenix E, Enduro 3 and Tactix 8 have been receiving v15.xx beta builds for a while now. The release of Beta Version 15.29 indicates that the first v15.xx stable update could soon be upon us, though.

It seems that Garmin is working towards delivering plenty of new smartwatches. To recap, there has been evidence of the company preparing LTE versions of the Fenix E, Fenix 8 and other high-end smartwatches, the Forerunner 970 and even a new Fenix 8 spin-off. Incidentally, it now looks like a smartwatch called the Forerunner 570 will soon be upon us too.

Nonetheless, Garmin continues to busy itself with a series of new updates for existing smartwatches. Just yesterday, the company finally released a stable build for recent Forerunner models after nearly two months of beta development. Seemingly, the end is almost nigh for current Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8 or Tactix 8 (curr. $1,299.99 on Amazon) beta development as well.

Although Garmin has not admitted as much yet, the contents of Beta Version 15.29 suggest as much. Recently, Garmin has been pushing dozens of new features and bug fixes per beta build, culminating in Beta Version 15.27 at the start of the week. By contrast, Beta Version 15.29 contains a measly bug fix, which is often a sign that Garmin's beta development period is coming to an end.

Nonetheless, Beta Version 15.29 is said to fix a potential device crash when navigating, which should be welcome to Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8 or Tactix 8 beta testers. With that being said, the fact that Aviation, Dive and ECG features are still disabled suggests that Garmin intends to offer at least one more beta build before transitioning v15.xx development to its stable software branch.
