The Oppo Reno14 series' members are rumored to look like iPhones - now, they are officially backed to outdo their Apple rivals at one of their most "trendy" camera features.
The OEM has gotten its latest teaser campaign started with a Weibo post hailing the upcoming premium mid-rangers as "Live Picture God Machines", which, as the famous leaker Digital Chat Station purports to explain, means they will do Live Photos better than a comparable iPhone, possibly thanks to upgraded telephoto lenses and 50MP sensors.
The Reno14 and/or 14 Pro is also now rumored to outdo the ~$800, ActiveTrack 6.0-stabilized DJI Osmo Pocket 3 at 4K vlogging, and also to recreate the retro appeal of CCD cameras.
The smartphones are also thought to come with updated MediaTek Dimensity 8000-series silicon, flat displays and IP68/69-rated build quality. They are likely to debut in China to start off with, then supplant the Reno13 series worldwide thereafter.
