RedMagic has set out to shake the gaming-focused Android flagship space up with the more affordable (currently $589 on Amazon) 10 Air in 2025. Another smartphone OEM reportedly intends to get in on that game with a more than vaguely similar design soon..
The "K13 Turbo Pro" might indeed be even cheaper thanks to the integration of the sub-flagship Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor from Qualcomm. Now, it is thought to have a vanilla sibling with the corresponding MediaTek Dimensity 8450 platform.
The so-called K13 Turbo is now backed to launch with the same ~6.8-inch 144Hz screen, which could be OLED but might compromise on certain high-end features such as an always-on display mode for a reduced starting price.
Both new additions to the K13 series are also now thought to have the gaming smartphone market's most OnePlus 13s-esque rear panel, adapted to sport a fan where 1 of the rear cameras would go in that more premium compact flagship.
The K13 Turbo-series' imaging capabilities might be an afterthought in other ways, with a 50MP main shooter and a 2MP secondary lens practically hidden next to it, though. Its selfie camera might also be a profoundly mid 16MP shooter.
Its battery specs are tipped to be "relatively" generous by contrast, though.
Finally, the K13 Turbo and Turbo Pro are thought to come in "Knight" White or Silver colorways respectively, while sharing the series' other "Warrior" Black and "Super" Purple options.
The new 'gaming flagship killers' are now backed to launch in or around July 2025.
