The Doogee Fire 6 Max has now been listed on Amazon US for a price of $599. It’s being offered by a marketplace seller, but Amazon itself takes care of the shipping. Thanks to a 20% launch discount, the phone costs just $479 at the time of writing.
A look at our spec page for the Doogee Fire 6 Max reveals that the rugged smartphone is pretty bulky as it measures an entire inch in thickness. In return, the handset is equipped with a huge 20,800mAh battery that promises very long runtimes.
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050, which is a mid-range chipset that hit the market back in 2023. It should still offer enough performance for most regular applications. The SoC has access to 8GB of memory and 256GB of internal mass storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD.
As usual, the rugged Doogee device has some additional features, some of which are not found in regular smartphones. For instance, it offers a dedicated flashlight and a thermal camera with a resolution of 120 x 160 pixels, which can be helpful for spotting wildlife. The Fire 6 Max also sports a built-in night vision camera with a resolution of 20 megapixels.
I have been active as a journalist for over 10 years, most of it in the field of technology. I worked for Tom’s Hardware and ComputerBase, among others, and have been working for Notebookcheck since 2017. My current focus is particularly on mini PCs and single-board computers such as the Raspberry Pi – so in other words, compact systems with a lot of potential. In addition, I have a soft spot for all kinds of wearables, especially smartwatches. My main profession is as a laboratory engineer, which is why neither scientific contexts nor the interpretation of complex measurements are foreign to me.

My fascination for technology goes back a long way to the Pentium II era. Modding, overclocking and treasuring computer hardware has since become an integral part of my life. As a student, I further developed a keen interest in mobile technologies that can make the stressful college life so much easier. After I fell in love with the creation of digital content while working in a marketing position, I now scour the web to bring you the most exciting topics in the world of tech. Outside the office, I’m particularly passionate about motorsports and mountain biking.
