Rugged smartphone enthusiasts will be pleased to know that prominent brand Doogee has announced a fresh new member to its impressive family of rugged smartphones. Dubbed the S118 Pro, the all-weather gadget arrives as a premium version of the existing S118 rugged smartphone.
The Doogee S188 Pro sports the decently powerful MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 memory. The rugged smartphone can be equipped with up to 512 GB of flash storage, which should be plenty for the vast majority of use cases. Should that not suffice, the S118 Pro sports a microSD card slot as well, allowing for up to 2 TB of supplementary storage. A 6.6-inch FHD+ display graces the front of the device, with a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate and a serviceable peak brightness of 480 nits.
The Doogee S118 Pro's camera setup looks perfectly admirable, at least on paper. At the back, we have a 108 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide camera, and a 20 MP night vision camera. For selfies, a 32 MP sits at the top of the display. A gigantic 10,800 mAh battery is present, which justifies the S118 Pro's unsurprisingly thick chassis. Being a rugged smartphone, the S118 Pro sports MIL-STD-810H, IP69K, and IP68 certifications with reinforced components and excellent drop protection, as claimed by Doogee. The S118 Pro starts at $359.99 in the US, and ships with an included 33-watt charger and a USB-C cable.
