SimplyNUC has unveiled a brand-new mini PC, adding yet another member to its impressive family of SFF systems. Powered by an entry-level Intel processor, the NUC 14 Essential sports decent internals paired with a sufficiently affordable price tag of $349.
As stated, the NUC 14 Essential does not intend to be a performance beast. Powered by up to an 8-core Intel Core 3 N355 processor, the NUC 14 Essential can be equipped with up to 16 GB of DDR5-4800 memory, albeit in a single-channel configuration. In terms of storage, the options are commendable - the NUC 14 can be fitted with up to a whopping 8 TB of NVMe PCIe Gen4 storage, as well as 2 TB of plain-old SATA storage.
The port selection is impressive as well, including a total of seven USB ports including two Type-C ports and five USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and a 2.5 G LAN port.
