DJI has introduced new accessories for professional drone users (Image source: DJI)
DJI is launching two new drone accessories. Specifically, the Zenmuse S1 can light up the night, while the Zenmuse V1 is a speaker. These attachments could be particularly useful for professionals.
DJI is a well-known company that sells consumer-focused drones like the DJI Neo, which we have already reviewed shortly after its launch last year. However, the brand also produces drones for professional users that weigh more than the usual 250 grams. These heavier drones can easily carry some accessories, which is why DJI has now launched the Zenmuse V1 and Zenmuse S1.
The Zenmuse V1 is a speaker that could be useful for giving verbal instructions to visitors at events, or to direct traffic. It can play pre-recorded voice messages and can even turn text into speech. The drone speaker can also play regular audio files, which could be used for advertisements. From about 3 ft away, the speaker hits a volume of up to 127 dB, which should be loud enough for an effective range of up to 500 yd. The attachment has an IP54 certification, weighs 1.5 lbs and officially costs $889.
Additionally, DJI is offering the Zenmuse S1 flashlight, which is also compatible with the Matrice 300 RTK and Matrice 350 RTK. The accessory weighs around 1.7 pounds and consumes up to 68 watts for its spotlight that outputs 30 lux at a distance of 350 yd. The flashlight has a maximum range of over 500 yd and a low-beam mode with a 15° instead of 4° field of view. The flashlight further offers a strobe mode and can be put on a gimbal. The official MSRP is $1,269.

I have been active as a journalist for over 10 years, most of it in the field of technology. I worked for Tom’s Hardware and ComputerBase, among others, and have been working for Notebookcheck since 2017. My current focus is particularly on mini PCs and single-board computers such as the Raspberry Pi – so in other words, compact systems with a lot of potential. In addition, I have a soft spot for all kinds of wearables, especially smartwatches. My main profession is as a laboratory engineer, which is why neither scientific contexts nor the interpretation of complex measurements are foreign to me.

My fascination for technology goes back a long way to the Pentium II era. Modding, overclocking and treasuring computer hardware has since become an integral part of my life. As a student, I further developed a keen interest in mobile technologies that can make the stressful college life so much easier. After I fell in love with the creation of digital content while working in a marketing position, I now scour the web to bring you the most exciting topics in the world of tech. Outside the office, I’m particularly passionate about motorsports and mountain biking.
