The wait for a new DJI Mavic drone is almost over. To recap, DJI released the Mavic 3 Pro (curr. $2,199 on Amazon) in April 2023, which landed roughly 18 months after the company introduced the Mavic 3 nad Mavic 3 Cine. Over two years later, DJI has finally confirmed the launch date of what is undoubtedly the Mavic 4 Pro.
As usual, DJI does not name the device in its teaser. Instead, it merely states that it will be hosting a 'Spin Your World' launch event next Tuesday on May 13 at 12:00 UTC. With that being said, the teaser image shown above matches the design of the Mavic 4 Pro that has been shown in countless leaks.
For instance, detailed specifications and dozens of photos have recently emerged online in separate leaks. Fresh images of retail packaging have also now appeared, which confirm that a Fly More Combo with an RC 2 controller exists. There were suggestions that DJI had cancelled the Mavic 4 Pro's electronic ND filter hardware at the last minute, too.
According to Jasper Ellens, this accessory is now set to arrive 'later in May', with unspecified 'technical' issues cited. Reportedly, DJI intends to sell its electronic ND filter for $220; this detail remains unconfirmed for now, though. Moreover, possible footage shot with the Mavic 4 Pro has turned up online as well. Embedded below, it is currently unclear whether the video is legitimate even if an RC Pro 2 remote control is visible.
