The Blackview brand is probably not entirely unknown anymore, since the company sells many different devices on Amazon these days. The Mega 8 tablet is the latest addition to Blackview’s lineup and is already available for $286. The manufacturer heavily advertises AI features, such as the Doke AI app, which is said to use ChatGPT and DeepSeek in order to compile information.
However, the Mega 8 is not exactly a high-performance tablet since it’s powered by the Unisoc Tiger T620, which is an entry-level chipset. The slate is also equipped with 12GB of memory and 256GB or 512GB of internal mass storage.
Furthermore, Blackview has opted for a 13-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, which should come in handy when streaming content from services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video or Disney Plus. Widevine L1 certification is onboard as well. The IPS display further has a refresh rate of 90Hz and a decent screen-to-body ratio of almost 82%.
This big 13-inch Android tablet also supports dual SIM, but users won’t be able to use two SIM cards and a microSD card for storage expansion at the same time. In terms of operating system, Blackview uses its own Doke OS based on Android 15.
The spec sheet also reveals a weight of 26 oz and thickness of roughly 0.3 inches. The tablet has a 50MP main camera, the front camera has 13 megapixels. Furthermore, the 11,000mAh battery can be charged with up to 18 watts, while the four built-in speakers promise decent audio quality. Thanks to GPS, Glonass, Beidou and Galileo, the Mega 8 can also be used for navigation.
