Oscal Pilot 3: Rugged smartphone has 12GB RAM and 20MP night vision camera

We've previously covered device from Blackview, which is now offering another 5G smartphone called the Pilot 3. The phone is available on AliExpress and is currently priced at around $277. There might be additional import or shipping fees, depending on the region. Deliveries should arrive in early July, but warranty claims might be difficult to enforce.

With that out of the way, this smartphone is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, which is a 5G-compatible chipset that supports two SIM cards. However, users can only take advantage of this if they don’t want to use a microSD card in order to expand the 256GB internal mass storage. The Blackview Oscal Pilot 3 is further equipped with 12GB RAM and measures 7.17 x 3.39 x 0.57 inches which is not quite compact but typical for a rugged phone. It also weighs 12.6 oz and meets the IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810H standards. The battery has a rather large capacity of 7,500mAh and can be charged at up to 33 watts. Reverse charging with up to 6 watts is supported as well, but that won't charge other smartphones particularly fast.

Corning Gorilla Glass 5 is intended to protect the 6.78-inch display, which has a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels and refresh rate of 120Hz. On the back, there's a main camera with a 50MP but also a 20MP night vision camera. Meanwhile, the front camera has a 32MP. NFC and a fingerprint sensor are built-in, and several AI features are advertised, as users are supposedly able to access DeepSeek-R1. Lastly, the Oscal Pilot 3 runs on Android 15 out of the box.
