Vivo has unveiled its latest midrange smartphone, the Y400 Pro, in the Indian market. The mid-range smartphone brings an impressive set of features despite the relatively affordable pricing. To be more precise, Vivo packs a decent dual camera setup into the smartphone. The dual rear camera setup consists of a 50 MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor and a 2 MP depth sensor. Upfront, you’ll get a 32 MP shooter, which supports up to 4K video recording.
At its heart, the Vivo Y400 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset paired with 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On the software side, the device runs Android 15-based Vivo’s latest Funtouch OS 15 out of the box, and there’s no word on software support from the brand.
Speaking of the display, the 5G-enabled smartphone sports a 6.77-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 2392 x 1080 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of a whopping 4,500 nits. The handset has a decent 5,500 mAh battery that supports 90 W wired charging. Vivo claims that the bundled charger can recharge the device from 0 to 50% in just 19 minutes. However, unfortunately, there’s no wireless charging support here.
Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio, IP65 water and dust resistance, Vivo’s set of AI-powered features, and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity support. Dimensionally, the device measures just 7.4 mm (0.29 inch) in thickness and weighs around 182 grams (0.40 lbs).
Available in freestyle white, fest gold, and nebula purple colorways, the Vivo 400 Pro is priced at INR 24,999 ($290) for the base 8 GB + 128 GB model, while the 8 GB + 256 GB variant costs INR 26,999 ($310). It will be available starting June 27 via Vivo India’s official website and Amazon.
