The iFlight Defender 20 Lite is a new and fairly affordable drone that features a 4K video camera as well as propeller guards. It also utilizes certain technology from DJI.
The Defender 20 Lite from iFlight is a new drone that could be an alternative to the DJI Neo or DJI Flip, both of which feature propeller guards. The Defender 20 Lite also has this feature, which can prevent damage or even injuries, particularly indoors. The drone does not have a built-in GNSS module, so it’s not possible to fly predefined routes and take pictures and videos along the way. Accordingly, the Defender 20 Lite must be controlled manually by the user.
iFlight advertises a maximum ground speed of 46 mph, and the drone weighs just 108 grams (3.8 oz) with the 600mAh battery, which has enough power to let the product hover for 7.5 minutes. Interestingly, iFlight utilizes the DJI O4 Air Unit for the Defender 20 Lite, which can take and stream Full-HD video at 100 fps. The 1/1.3-inch sensor can also record video at 4K at 60 fps and a field of view of 155°.
The drone is also available without a remote control, in which case pilots can use the DJI FPV remote. An alternative remote control is available at a corresponding surcharge. Last but not least, the Defender 20 Lite is compatible with FPV goggles such as the DJI Goggles 3. The new iFlight drone can now be ordered at Banggood for prices starting around $243 excluding shipping and potential import duties.

I have been active as a journalist for over 10 years, most of it in the field of technology. I worked for Tom’s Hardware and ComputerBase, among others, and have been working for Notebookcheck since 2017. My current focus is particularly on mini PCs and single-board computers such as the Raspberry Pi – so in other words, compact systems with a lot of potential. In addition, I have a soft spot for all kinds of wearables, especially smartwatches. My main profession is as a laboratory engineer, which is why neither scientific contexts nor the interpretation of complex measurements are foreign to me.

My fascination for technology goes back a long way to the Pentium II era. Modding, overclocking and treasuring computer hardware has since become an integral part of my life. As a student, I further developed a keen interest in mobile technologies that can make the stressful college life so much easier. After I fell in love with the creation of digital content while working in a marketing position, I now scour the web to bring you the most exciting topics in the world of tech. Outside the office, I’m particularly passionate about motorsports and mountain biking.
